+3 Talent Rank ? How does that work ?

Hi, I have an item that provides +3 strength talent rank.
I don't understand what it does since there's a a maximum of 3 points in a talent.
Does it mean it give me 3 ranks in both strength talents ?
Does it unlock a fourth rank ?

Any help appreciated.

It will make your chosen talent rank 6 if you had rank 3 natural. Mouseover the talent in char screen while having the item equipped to see it.

max from natural is 3 but you get additional bonuses if you use an item to go above that

You can have maybe +45% artery strike and exploit which is pretty OP not sure if artery strike stacks with 2x strength bonus 20% for example (the item you get as the Berserker in the gem cave has both + talent and + crit)

Ok, but what happens if you have 0 ranks in STR and you get a +1 ?

you will not get a bonus for talents you dont have you need at least to choose rank 1 talent to get a bonus

Talents actually have up to 6 ranks. You can add stat-points to access only the first 3 ranks. The last three can only be accessed by +Talent items. In order to get item bonus to Talent, you must have spent at least one point to unlock them.
