Eyvind then used his power + mending to bring Juno back from the dead, and did such a good job that she can't die at all anymore.
Are there some answers aside from the games given by the Developers witch confirms that? Like forums or community? Because if you're confirming it only by playing those games then I think you're forgot something! Although everyone tells that the Gods are dead, the Serpent says otherwise when you confront it in the first time! It mocks Juno for she didn't know the truth and, although doesn't clarify, It certainly says that happened something beyond death to them! (this interaction is really good if you think better: An entity made by the Gods feels pride when discovers that a being taught by a deity (Mother Loom himself) would never knew the truth about the Gods).
So, in my opinion, maybe the kid who made this topic is correct!
I, otherwise, think that the Gods are in hibernation / coma, and when something big happens they will awake! I kind think that the Serpent would be this event, maybe have woke up the God who made It at least? But Eyvind just accelerated the process and now they will never wake up ... Or they will? And if this happen, are they restart their war? ... There are scope for new franchise here!
Just legends which took on lives of their own.
The real question is who made the God Stones. There must be (have been) some old varl stonemason somewhere who has a peculiar fascination with the legends of the various gods, and chose to make the godstones to bring the legends to life.
I suppose it also could have been a Mender with Stone/Earth manipulation powers that made the godstones.
