The Banner Saga 2

Maybe the Gods aren't dead?
My tentative theory is that the gods aren't dead, but just "fallen" to the earth, and perhaps diminished. There are a few mysterious encounters in the game I think support this. (small spoilers)
- Unnarr: The old man found on the trail. Be nice to him and he will magically provide food and then vanish. Maybe one of the gods?
-Woman at Aselei's godstone: after inspecting Aselei, a women in tatered clothing (same discription as the godstone's image) leaves an item in Rooks pack. Possibly Aselei herself? I know this one is a stretch.
-Womon seen with Dytch: When Bolverk's party is traveling underground, a seemingly unaturally attractive woman is encountered, with Dytch being enthralled. If Bolverk confronts her, then taunts her, she will get angry and magically reach into his chest and grab his heart. Possibly the goddess of beauty and love, Lauga? (you encounter her godstone with rook on the road to Arberrang, where rook and Oddleif get together).
This may be some fanciful thinking on my part, but let me know your thoughts or if you can think of any other scenes that support or disprove the theory.

The devs are pretty straight on this point: The gods _are_ dead. That, of course, doesn't mean that sprinkles of their power don't remain in the world. It's no wonder that something good to you can happen in each godstone (...if you pick the right choices, usually something pertaining to that particular god's aspect...).

My thinking is that the gods are dead, and Juno did something to Eyvind in an attempt to make him a NEW god. That's the "mistake" Eyvind begins to talk about when he and Juno leave with Iver, when Juno hushes him. Some of the serpent dialogue alludes to something like that as well.

Eyvind then used his power + mending to bring Juno back from the dead, and did such a good job that she can't die at all anymore.

Are there some answers aside from the games given by the Developers witch confirms that? Like forums or community? Because if you're confirming it only by playing those games then I think you're forgot something! Although everyone tells that the Gods are dead, the Serpent says otherwise when you confront it in the first time! It mocks Juno for she didn't know the truth and, although doesn't clarify, It certainly says that happened something beyond death to them! (this interaction is really good if you think better: An entity made by the Gods feels pride when discovers that a being taught by a deity (Mother Loom himself) would never knew the truth about the Gods).
So, in my opinion, maybe the kid who made this topic is correct!
I, otherwise, think that the Gods are in hibernation / coma, and when something big happens they will awake! I kind think that the Serpent would be this event, maybe have woke up the God who made It at least? But Eyvind just accelerated the process and now they will never wake up ... Or they will? And if this happen, are they restart their war? ... There are scope for new franchise here!

I'm of the opinion that the gods in Banner Saga were never alive to begin with.
Just legends which took on lives of their own.

The real question is who made the God Stones. There must be (have been) some old varl stonemason somewhere who has a peculiar fascination with the legends of the various gods, and chose to make the godstones to bring the legends to life.

I suppose it also could have been a Mender with Stone/Earth manipulation powers that made the godstones.
