b) You could have two abilities, so with Oddleif you could have Slag & Burn and RoA, with Nid you can't, so it's a bit different in terms of strategy.
c) Odd has more WIL.
d) Not every time higher stats are necessary better, because you need more points to cap them and choose the talent, so it depends on playstyle.
And yes, lv.10 was my standard cause I'm trying to min-max my caravan atm.
Now that I think of it, that's probably why the devs chose to do abilities the way they did; some abilities would be tricky to scale (Forge Ahead for instance), while others would just be faen overpowered and a nightmare to balance.
I liked the case of Rook tho. I love his second ability, but his first ability is still useful, and he is unique in his own way since his skills aren't mixed with others. Mixing skills works cool on some characters, but I lmao-ed when I saw Egil throwing his swords at enemies like a boss, calling it Throwing Axe.
Someone should make a gif of that
