Epic games has made it clear that I don't own the copy of the game I bought from, I only leased it. You bastards will never see another dime out of me.

epic is not cool

I really would love to give this game a full recommendation. But I can´t.
Why?

Homeworld impresses with an incredible game atmosphere, amazing soundtrack and stylish storysequences.
It feels dramatic listening to radio chatter and gunfire.
But the RTS underneath is kinda shallow, glitchy and badly scripted.
There are not many units, some of them are pointless due to balancing or unit behaviour (good god those bombers!), the AI is utterly primitive, most missions rely on very simplistic scripts and triggers and occasionally units will glitch out.
The two faction DLCs are very overprized for a reskin and minor abilities for a completely dead multiplayer, it adds nothing to the campaign. The story DLC is basically an encyclopedia with a lot of nice background and should be part of the base game.
On top of that, gearbox decided to patch in always-online requirements and a forced download of the epic launcher for no good reason. And I am fairly certain that no more actually helpful patches will come.

All in all the game is brought down by a thousand cuts, lazy design and publisher greed.
Buy it on sale if you liked homeworld, but ONLY on sale.
