Only aerial units dock.

The Coalition relies on the repair beams on their Command Carrier and Support Cruisers (and Rechel S'jet in the campaign) to fix their ground vehicles. Gaalsien units have regen when out of combat and their Baserunners have an AoE heal ability.

Docking has been part of the homeworld series and so has others thing, which i am sure BBI will hear and homefully patch as soon as we let them know on their forums. Docking is good for both the immersion the the series and a tactical hand in a situation such as if you are being rushed attacked at the beggining of a game or anytime your salvergers or something expensive is being attacked, they can dock and the carrier can take the brunt of the situation.

This is also valid, and I do understand they want you to move your fleet as one, and use all the units and their abilities to a certain degree, but this docking mechanic has been a staple of the homeworld series. Immersion is a great factor in this game. Also the scavengers need to dock their resources in with the carriers and support cruisers, just for the sake of the Homeworld immersion.

Yes and No, as you might have seen in one of the cut scenes; The units are assembled in the loading bay of the ship, thus they are assembled and send out of the back of the Command Carrier. The Size of the ship would have to be bigger for it to logically be able to hold the units within it's cargo hold. The battle cruisers are huge if you compare them to human size, so imagine having an entire fleet of those cruisers in your ship, it would make no sense. I understand where you are coming from, but it would just make no sense. Salvagers and base runners might be docked, as they are base support units but the combat units would be too many and too big to all be docked in the cargo bay, but that is just my opinion.

Good point, maybe only the small units such as the baserunner, scavengers, and the LAVs. That would be good enough. Also, by docking, we meant to also explain when resources are dropped off by the scavengers like in Homeworld 1 and 2, if you have played them. (dont know how to check how peopled played what games and am new to forums. First time actually using forums because I am really interested in the Homeworld series and am loving the series so far.)
