Buggy Graphics settings?
Anyone else having an issue not being able to actually adjust the graphics options? When I change the settings (specifically unit textures) it says I successfully saved the changes but when I load the game everything looks terrible and I check the options again and it moved it from high to low.

Same here on a 980Ti with the newest drivers. Must be game related.

erm im no expert but maybe check nvidia thingy and choose high performance GPU, i heard this game can some times choose to use the itegrated Graphics instead of your good GPU. Then again, like i said im no expert and i could be way off....lol

I'm having the same issue. I got all the settings maxed out, highest res I can use. But the game looks like its running in like the lowest res setting. Not really sure what to try. I checked for ini's to see if the game wasn't saving my settings so not sure.

I have checked Nvidia control panel to see if I can optimize the game and it doesnt recognize it. I think we just have to wait for a patch sadly. I have verified game cache and also uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and it still happens. I am bummed. I was really really looking forward to playing this.

I had the same issue for a while. Try to change options from the main menu and from not in game, and remember that the 'apply changes' button is on the left in the popup box when you press accept

I'm getting the same thing, plus ♥♥♥♥♥♥ frame rate. I have a 640M with 16 gb ram and an i7-3639QM @ 2.4GHz. I can run the Remastered at max everything without a hickup. I didn't think this was gonna be so taxing on my 2 year old gaming laptop. Hopefully things will be optimized in a coming patch. Also like others above NVIDIA Experiance does nothing for me, which isn't a huge deal since this game came out today, but still. A bit disappointed with the preformance.

Well my FPS is perfectly fine. But from the way the game looks. If for some reason it truly is rendering all of the ship models in a super low resolution that could be why I have good FPS. I'm wondering if anyone that believes they are having no problems, and believe the game looks fine. Do you mind posting some screenshots? I'm just wondering if this is a case of people wearing rose tented glass's and are just not noticing this problem. Because all of the video reviews, and screenshots I've looked at out on the web seem to actually exhibit this issue. So I'm very worried this is the look of the final product. But I want to understand if that is true, why. I mean you can clearly see models are not being rendered at the resolution that is selected. Otherwise you wouldn't expect to see this choppy or "stair effect" along all the straight edges of the models.

Another unusual thing I've noticed is, typically when you change your resolution in a game. You see the game visually resetting to the new resolution. You know, the screen flickers or what not. But in DoK, when you change the res there is nothing to indicate it is reloading in the new resolution. The only thing you might see is the edges expanding or retracting upon you applying settings(in the case of if you pick a res that your monitor is forced to bring in the edges horizontally, think letter boxing) I'm hoping to get some kind of a dev response, so we know for sure what this issue is, if its just the way things are, or if its something being looked into. It's just too hard to get past the look, and enjoy the game for me. It just pulls me out of the imersion, seeing the graphics like this. And it's sad because I absolutely love homeworld. It's so odd, every time I notice it, I keep thinking if I was in any other game, I'd assume oh crap I selected 800x600 by mistake, and need to turn it up.

Anyone able to get this game running beyond 1920*1080? Looking to run at 2560*1080 but there is not option.

The settings would let me choose something above 1920x1080 but I dont know if it would actually run at that resolution.

Odd, since 1080P is the highest resolution it shows on my machine.

Are you running a SHD monitor? It should detect automatically the max resolution that your graphics card and monitor can run. But it could be a glitch

I'm thinking glitch. My other games work fine on that resolution, just not this one. Remastered works fine at 2560x1080. I've actually changed the ini file to reflect that resolution, once the game is launched, it defaults back to 1080p, and the .ini file is also changed back. At this point I have no idea. Just updated my graphics drivers to rule that out....notta...
