Karan s jet and Rachel s jet -> same person ?

in hm1 the first video says "karan s jet" but in homeworld DoKarak it s" rachel s jet" ?? its the same person or its because the game is in french ? (im from france).

Given the time difference between the two games my guess is Karen is probably the grand child of Rachel...

The Captain and Intel Officer of the Carrier Kapisi are also S'jets. Any one of the three characters could be related to Karan. Just because Rachel has the last name S'jet doesn't mean that she's the mother/grandmother of Karan (but I am assuming that she is, but I could be wrong).

It must be hard to tell who is related to who for the Kushan in the Homeworld universe if members of a Kiith all share the same last name... perhaps it's a culture thing and they think all who are members are literal brothers / sisters and therefore have no concept of tight family systems.
