No mods, abandonware?
This game was great, the first time I played it. However, with no ability to mod the game, it's replayability drops off fast. You can't create new campaigns, new unit, even modify existing ones, and after a while play skirmish just gets boring. It seems that the developers originally promised there would be mod tools and the ability to mod, but now they've just abandoned the game.

Is there any chance that this game will get mod tools from a third party, anyone working on that? Or is it effectively dead?

Man Idk, but I'm needing some more story of this universe, if other studios can spend time making stupid lame models for $5, hopefully we can get some DLC story packs or something?

There is a DOK mod being worked on my the guys over at the Homeworld Universe discord, additionally there are a lot of guys over there that play multiplayer nightly. Usually there will be two-three full 3v3 marches going on the weekends.

You do realise all games get abandoned at some point. This game is dead from a dev point of view, and on life support from a multiplayer point of view
