Is it just me or are the hitboxes bigger than the actual sprites?

No errors or CTD, game just locks up and forces a manual close via alt-tabbing. Happened 4 times in a row at various points upon leveling up. Chose the option I wanted, hit the button on the controller and game just stayed frozen and wouldn't respond to any input....

1: I have noticed a disproportionate amount of times where I've been hit by the plant enemies (before they're dead) while not being close to them (at least it feels that way). Could there be a problem with their hitbox, where the poison gas they leave behind has an active hitbox even when they're not dead yet? That could explain how I'm being hit without being close. 2: It seems like there might be a mismatch between Parasite/Boomerang distance and projectile size.
