DRM Decision
we decided to change the (if you still want to call it like this) DRM of the Raven's Cry Steam version.
Each game will receive a Serial Key and with this key you optional register the game. And activation or any other action is not required.

That's way better!
just to make sure: I can uninstall and reinstall the game from my Steam account as often as I want to without asking for permission?

what's the benefit of registering the game with that key?

I'm glad to hear this.

Now put it on sale so I can buy it!

yes.
The benefit from registering with the key is, that we know who is the owner and can support him/her in any case. What case? - e.g. he/she decides to walk away from Steam, sell the game or want to use the game on a deiffernt platform/portal.

Just wait until Friday when it is out and we can buy it knowing it's out and the delays are finally over

We cannot enable presales. We have no control over this.

I understand. Will we be able to buy the game off Steam starting Friday?

thanks for your answer. just saw the change in the DRM description on the store page. a huge thanks for dropping that activation limit! :sunflower:

take the time you need for finishing the game, I can wait a couple of days longer, now that I know I can play it as often as I want to :)

When it will be available for purchase, we do not have in our hands.

Ok thanks. Fingers crossed that Steam will have it for sale Friday. Steam please help lift the black cloud that has been around this game the past few years. The devs have showen they are willing to do their part and on Friday it is Steams turn to unlesh Raven's Cry to the masses

@Raidor: Do you intend to remove the activation procedure from Two Worlds 1&2 as well?

if the new system (we call it DLM V2 for Digital License Management) works to everyones satisfaction, we intend to use it for all games. But please allow us some time to check this out. We do not see any technical problems, but last years have shown that allways someone finds a way to make some unwanted actions.

even a bigger thanks from me

what about the cards and pre-purchase items? (see my post above)

This is good to hear. Now I can judge the game based on its merits instead of dismissing it immediately because of a lousy drm.
