DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
I keep receiving these type of errors. I was playing the game completely fine with no
issues up until about a week ago. I'm losing my mind trying to fix this. I have spent
days upon days trying to fix it with no luck. I've tried reinstalling drivers, rolling back
my drivers, wiping my computer, putting a TdrDelay and TdrLevel in registry, and lots
of other things. Does anyone have an all around fix for this or will this just continue to
be an issue that no one is going to look into. Thank you in advance if someone has
any advice.

Done lots of stress tests that came back with no errors. I also swapped to my 1080 and ended up getting the error 1 time. So I'm not convinced that its just the GPU.

DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to
more commands"). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER",
Driver: 58180. This error is usually caused by the graphics
driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.

For my case this was due to my undervolt + overclock. Through, I noticed it's more likely to happen when alt tabbing from the game. But I can assure you it's not a your system type of error, as I never crash on other games but only BF6
It's a frostbite engine error.
EA are focused on adjust TICKET settings of the matchs and don't care about it.

I have the same issue with a 9070XT, the game is simply unplayable.
GPU error. Downclock your gpu and see if that helps
Only way i can fix this is by playing in 1080p and even then its a bandaid fix that goes from a 5-10 min crash to possibly 2 hours
Same error here, DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
RADEON VII 25.8.1
Mannaged to complete first game w/o crash. Need further testing, but this helped me:

Fix #10 – Override Windows Timeout Detection and Recovery Settings
Battlefield 6 DXGI Device Removed or Hung crashes on your PC are happening due to Timeout Detection and Recovery (TDR). Windows TDR is shutting down the GPU driver when it detects it stalling instead of resetting it.

You can fix these DXGI errors in BF6 by overriding Windows TDR settings, so it resets the GPU driver instead of shutting it down. Here is how you can override TDR settings to fix the DirectX DXGI crashes on your PC:

Open “regedit” and run it as an administrator.
Go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SYSTEM -> CurrentControlSet -> Control -> GraphicsDrivers”.
Right-click in the right panel in the blank space, hover the mouse cursor over “New”, select the “DWORD (32-bit) Value” option, and name the file TdrLevel.
Right-click the “TdrLevel” file and select Modify.
Confirm that the value is 0 under “Value data”.
Restart your PC.

Got the same error too, only when alt-tabbing on Fullscreen window size, running an undervolted CPU with Nvidia GPU.
Try enabling V-sync. I had the same error for BF6 and Skate. Turning on v-sync seemed to fix it.
Had DirectX crashes after I changed a gun's camo. Changed the camo back to default (no camo) and the game worked fine again.
System specs 9070XT/ Intel i7-14700kf/ 1000W psu/ 32 GB DDR5 ram... Crashes at random still sometimes I can play for 10 mins or 10 hours...Still getting this problem of DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
its ddr5 ram running on xmp or any of the overclock settings

Nope, it sure ain’t. Everyone who says so is wrong, they are band aid fixes and you’ll crash eventually, you shouldn’t have to turn off expo or downclock your GPU.

Things I’ve seen cause this

Graphics cards using daisy chained PCIe cables (9070 XTs hate this)

Conflicting software running in the background, Norton, mcafee, overlays etc. javelin is super touchy about the programs running on your PC.

Then there’s the random issue where Adrenalin thinks you’re playing elder scrolls online instead of BF6.

All 3 of these situations were the cause of different users getting the same error, my point being is, many people are having the same issue but the solution for each user is different almost every time.
Never had a problem until I updated driver march 3rd 2026 595.71. And happens all the time now. I've the hotfix, still happens and updated the newest driver from March 10th which was supposed to fix it, and happens more then ever. I've done ddu and everything suggested. Can't play the game anymore. Its ridiculous
I've dealt with lots of crash issues as well, and 99% of them has been unstable DRAM. BIOS updates and making sure to use EXPO2 for me fixed crash issues.

Now I'm running RTX 5080 with pretty hefty OC and I do not crash at all.

And yes, when DRAM instability was my issue, I still got the same GPU crash errors. But it was a DRAM issue.

Do not underestimate DRAM stability with BF6. BF6 is VERY sensitive to CPU/DRAM stability.
