Performance Issues / Stuttering / Unstable FPS
Is anyone else having issues with stuttering and fps? The game starts off very smooth and then seemingly out of nowhere the fps drops off a cliff. I've tried just about every possible fix and nothing makes a difference. My settings are at the absolute lowest they can be - I even lowered the resolution scaling... I've tried changing the 3D settings in Nvidia Control Panel, ending processes in Task Manager, cranking my laptop cooler to max, adjusting the minimum power usage for my CPU - nothing works. Also, I know it isn't thermal throttling because I watched the temperatures very closely.

DICE have you fixed the High CPU usage ?
One of the fixes for the Open Beta was this:

create a file "user.cfg" at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Glacier Events"
edit the file and paste the following into it. Set Read-Only and save it before exiting.

(for 8c/16t CPU only)

Thread.ProcessorCount 8

Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8

Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0

Thread.JobThreadPriority 0

GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 16
There is nothing wrong with High CPU usage, if the performance is good.
i really hope they adjusted the cpu usage. it was way to heavy to be healthy for the cpu in the long term.
Yeah, and requirements they post are not true. I have GPU with 4GB VRAM instead of 6GB VRAM they claim, but I had no issues with GPU whatsover, but fps were dropping because of CPU issues in some scenarios in 64 matches...
64 players with destructible environments, it's gonna stress the CPU

That's not how this works; if your cpu is struggling under load, your cooling solution is to blame

4GB vram is ROUGH. game might run but textures WILL have issues, especially on resolutions above 1080p. And as you said, fps / smoothness will be very bad. If new parts are out of range for you, used parts are a good option (I'm running used ram, cpu and gpu myself as new prices are just stupid these days. Also screw nvidia)

who said my cpu was struggling? i just said it is not good for the health of the cpu to run as intense as it was with the bf6 beta - which is a fact so pls inform yourself before trying to answer stuff you don't understand (:
just look up how many ppl had "issues" while playing the beta. this wasn't a normal thing and even dice said that.
there is a lot of room for improvement so im sure dice handled it.
It was acknowledged that their was CPU issues in their optimization for the beta. As alot of people reported 85-90c ramp up in temps even in the main menu.

LAB's testing has reportedly fixed this issue but we will wait and see on the 10th
If I remember correctly its better in this compared to 2042 but it's still pretty high
its only the intel users moaning or players who skimped on coolers. nothing wrong with a cpu running at 95% for long periods of time ...

The cpu does not care how much you load it.
If it suffers in ANY way because of the load, the hardware is bad/unstable and the manufacturer/user is to blame.

I'm a hardware nerd running modded components with a decade of experience. I do in fact understand.
I paid for 100% of my CPU, I'll be using 100% of my CPU. As long as the game doesn't start stuttering due to CPU bottlenecks, ofc.

I'm playing on laptop can't add anything, but as I said, I have no issues with GPU. Frostbite can show fps related to cpu/gpu and I never had any issues with GPU, playing on 1080p with lowest settings, even ingame GPU usage meter is at 3900 which is below 4GB threshold. Problem was CPU, but I have a bit better than minimal stated in requirements, that's why it's weird cause according to their requirements it should be the other way around...

Not to mention they say that minimal is 30fps, it's BS I have pretty solid 60fps, with some drops to like 45-50 because of CPU issues in 64 players matches...
That sounds like insufficient VRAM.

Plenty of VRAM
