Hey SweetTator,

If you haven't already, it might be worth running through the following troubleshooting steps a try to see if there's any improvement:
  • Disable Steam Input and Desktop Layout settings under Steam > Battlefield 6 > Properties > Controller
  • Reset your keyboard binds to default and make sure Fire isn't bound to more than one input
  • Try a wired connection, and unplug all other USB devices that aren't being used
  • Check if your controller has a pending firmware update
  • Press Win and type joy.cpl and open Game Controllers to confirm input register and disable any duplicate or inaccurate entries

If you're using a Steam controller and can't disable Steam Input, try starting up your controller before starting Steam and launching the game.

Let us know how it goes, thanks!
I would love to disable steam input but if i do that i cannot run with gun equipped 8-10 times it just fires once and no sprint only knife equipped allows me to sprint every time i go to do it , but with steam input enabled i have no issues except it auto fires once or twice a game.

The only way to stop the auto firing mid game is to press fire on mouse button once and it stops for a while until it does it again.

Appreciate that information, and thanks for sharing that temporary workaround with us.

I have tried everything you said and still having the same issues. I don't have this problem with other games.
Have the same problem and found an easy fix, as soon as your weapon start autofiring click your left button mouse and it stop. The controller will stop autofiring,

Hey skalijaafar,

Thanks for joining in to confirm that clicking your left mouse button stops the autofiring.
The auto firing only stops for like 10 seconds. Then it continues
Hitting left mouse button solved the problem for me.
