A fix for 'holes' in water? [SOLVED]

Anyone know how to fix holes made in water caused by placing blocks on the surface?

this might get anoying at times but i think your going to need to manage to put solid blocks under the what will be top layer water then place water and then dive under the water or some how go below and remove the nonwater blocks and gravity should normal fill in the gap under as you go to the surface normaly what i have to do when i work around beaches

I think you can do a blueprint of water blocks and then fill it.

i forgot you could use a blue print but even then doesnt that still need to be placed into the water if say in an ocean or require diving a- nvm i just remember water will fix it self if its just a 1x1x1 hole in it if water on all sides .... carry on x.x

Before blueprints came along, I would place layers of ice at the water level, where the holes were, and then place hardened lava blocks on top of the ice to melt it.

Had to do this a few times when griefers would blast areas of water near other people's builds with fire bombs and 'evaporate' it.. making it an eyesore.
