Lumite alternative way to farm ?!

Hello it's here any other way to farm lumite instaed of dig in ground and search ii.... ?!

I wanna do big project in my map and i dont wanna waste 99% time for research resource instaed of build and project some builds....

Unfortunately there is no legit way to obtain Lumite other than finding the nodes down at the corruption layer.

I find it better to roam with Corrupted Sandwiches (to get healed by the full corruption meter or by touching corrupted water) then place extractors and torches to make a trail I can backtrack every once in a while to collect the ore without having to wait there for the extraction to complete.

Alternatively you could use excavators or TNT, but I think it's faster by just roaming around.

I'm sure I know of one person that feels your pain. :) A player on my world named Egrigor, built an entire LUMITE PYRAMID ... it's HUGE. Takes up one whole map square and has a maze inside of it.

And, he did it before he had a PRO license.

Which meant he wasn't flying.. had a smaller pack.. didn't have a flashlight.. and didn't have free extractors from the login screen chests... because they didn't exist when he built it!

I promptly gifted him PRO after I saw this amazing work of art, and what he had gone through to get all the lumite needed.

I believe his Pyramid is in the adventures, and I know you can find it in the workshop.

However, you can place down a bunch of lumite slabs and push that into a blueprint. Then buy the materials with coins. Anything requiring slabs or rods can be manufactured that way.

It's not free but it is legit.

Oh sure, but that's not really "farming" - I sticked to in-game solutions that don't involve spending coins for that "farming" requirement. I could totally have worded my message better to convey that.

Don't quote me, but I would swear I've gotten a couple lumite from killing THING's in a spawner.
Maybe it was a pet.

I don't recall Lumite ore being dropped by any mob or pet whatsover, but I almost never harvested Things, only drowned them, so my chances could have been low if they drop Lumite Ore as pet harvest.

I have several hundred Thing harvests (and Keepa harvests) under my belt. Under their old loot table, they did not. Lots of arctek stuff, all diamond gear, tables, columns, chests, torches, and of course corruption dust.

Right around last Halloween (IIRC) loot tables were changed for harvested pets to give better rewards to pet owners. This could have been a little after Halloween, but it was part of a lot of pet owner quality of life changes which started with taming ghosts and harvesting candies, so I have it mentally filed under Halloween. The only big drops affected by this have been from Pigsies (plum blossom recipe, etc).

Unless pet Things started giving lumite in that time & we were all too busy with our 4-claim kill traps to notice. >.> Unlikely, but not outside the realm of possibility. Our devs have been very, very sneaky in the past & they're long overdue for such hijinx.

When I needed a lot of lumite for my dark magician I placed an empty teleporter by ever node I was extracting and by my touchstone. That way I could just teleport to the nodes to grab my stuff and be sure I didn't miss any. Do need a lot of teleporters for this strategy and be sure all other teleporters in your world have a code.

Teleporters are cheap, though, and come in pairs.
