Blocking a beacon beam???
I saw someone's video before that there was a block they used to stop the beacon beam from going all the way in the sky, but forget who's video.
What block(s) can block the beam?

There is no block in game that can block a beacon's beam. However, you can rotate them upside down in order to have the beam go down instead of up.

Incidentally, a block that does block beacons would be really nice! :)

I totally agree

Beams need an option to where you can set how many blocks it will go before it stops. Would make a great tool for measuring out builds and such. A laser tape measure of sorts.

I use them as laser levels for ones I'm building up to meet(makes building in the sky a lot easier when you can build a scaffold to reach(ladders and such) and know what height to stop at or where two walls will meet to make the far off remaining corner), but yeah that option or even just a block that stopped the beam would be a big help...

A block to stop lasers, a mechanism to decide their length, OR Mirrors would be most Stellar indeeeed :)

Can anyone explain why you'd want to block the beam?

Blocking the lasers would enable us to use without the beams without cutting through other's claims. It would be amazing to be able to use them more creatively in our builds, or as measuring devices.

Doesn't the beam shoot up in the air?

Or down...or over...so someone else's from across the map can be cutting through your builds. 😶

I see, not sure why anyone would do that?

It happens unintentionally at times~ the beams are fun but they'd be a lot more versatile if we had more control over them.

Agreed, i just wasn't sure how you guys use them.

How about a beam sensor which sends a true signal when a beam hits it? Can be a specific color, or from a specific direction. Would go well with mirrors (rotatable!) for adventures. Doubles as a beam stopper.

I use them sometimes to mark out the edges of larger builds ( rotating them sidewise so they look a little like laser levels ) , this can have the result of shooting a beam thru someone's claim though. I even stick em upsidedown in some structures.
