Mold farming ... so very needed
ok so we can farm coral but not mold, what? it could be just as simple as how coral spawns ... some water and siltstone (instead of mud) and voila .. hey it smells stale in here lol. this way with the ever increasing need for globs of goo we can actually have a way to get the amounts we really need for crafting. also theres a few other recipes that require mold as an ingredient.

I agree goo is always in demand.

I'm usually nice and share all my supplies with my friends saying whats mine is yours but... when it comes 2 goo I hoard it and offer them something else.

our group always shares too, and now that we are working towards a new community build when the biomes finally arrive we will be sharing everything i imagine

Being able to make mold makes sense...

Looks awesome looks like everyone is gonna go BIG when the new biomes come out.

i always go big lol, check out some of my screenshots. i just find i get more satisfying contours with large builds, just to escape that "boxy" look that tends to happen a lot. BearKnuckles and I have a vision, he's the architect and i'm the architectual engineer lol. i've started grid mapping parts of this city out already so we are ready when its time :)

Some recipes will change with the new biome update so there's a chance goo will become less of a pain point. Once it's out we'd love to hear what you think (it won't be R13 though, FYI).

great to hear Dave, but i'd still like a way to farm mold ;) ... come on you know you guys wanna do it :D

also take a look at my Arcstone Power thread, might be of interest to you guys, maybe give a different perspective on the whole power souce concept

Yeah, saw that. Definitely an interesting way to go. My take is arcstones are pretty hard to come by -- I'd rather they weren't an essential component of something as neat as automation.

well honestly they aren't as hard to come by as you would think, i can usually stock up 3 stacks of them during construction of a base. but then again i know where to set up base so that keepas spawn regularly :)

I have no idea how to even get mold, and farming it would be very helpful. I'm stuck on a recipe for which I need some, but I can't get any. :(

you find mold in the stalactite caves ... it looks like siltstone with green algae on it, i find it mostly near mineral water. and i couldn't agree more about needing a mold farming mechanic.
