Building blueprint with QBit could remove blocks in the way.
If I am willing to use a qbit to auto build. I should be able to use another qbit to first remove block that are in the way.

no you can use excavators to remove large sections of blocks, but individual ones just remove by hand.

I'm interested in building large villages from blueprints. I don't want to spend hours removing blocks when the game already provides the mechanics for a robot to modify the environment.
Using excavators will not make the structure fit within the environment unless I spend has much time placing removed blocks back as I do now removing some. It's like using a sledge hammer to remove hundreds of finishing nails.

the problem with Q-bits removing existing blocks in the way is they can't tell what is storage and what is not ( they need more training to keep them from their default "a block is a block" tendency) They will however replace water/ liquids at the very least :D

Perhaps at some later point how Q-bits deal with non BP block will be revisited though. You never know :)

Good point, although I was thinking that it would still be my responsibility to ensure that any blocks in the way needs to be removed before using it. Good to know for water and liquids, thanks.

building without stripping the existing landscape is difficult but possible if you chose the right location carefully. in one world i was able to populate an island without removing a single tree by carefully choosing my buildings and arranging them between the trees .
in my newest world i built on a large island with very few trees to begin with, worked with the landscape. then used bps to add about 50 trees to the island. of course if you don't want to be bothered with trees or hills you can build on water or find a large flat glacier.
