Wind chime Sounds?
Are there any known blocks that make sounds (besides the christmas music player)? When I walk around my house, there's a niose that's high pitched and really hurts my ears and causes a slight headache not just from spending so long tring what's making it and to get it to stop but from the exposure.

There's the other sound that's been talked about that maybe it's a nod but I've never seen varification, and that's not at all what I'm talking about. From the name, it's much different and sounds kind of like wind chimes.

I am not 100% sure that this is what you are referring to, but each layer has it's own faint ambient sound. Fossil has a cave-ish hum, with occasional drops of water, lava has a boiling/gurgling deep sound, and corrupted has an 'eerie silence' tone to it. (i might not be accurate in my descriptions but it's the best i could come up with).

Maybe this is what you are hearing

I noticed a sound like that in a friend's build recently....it was either the haunted idol or the grumm's garden thingy....i think.

lol, nah those were pretty spot on. I know what you're talking about and I really like the fossil layer's. I'm in the mountians and only hear it iin one area of my house. I don't hear it anywhere else in the mountians or world. :/

Hmmm, I'm not using those and questioned if it was the forrbiden blocks but when I took them away it was still there. :/

I re-did the foundation in which it shouldn't be a node, I guess I have to keep tearing the place up. DX

Be great if it wasn't a thing. XD

I've heard nearby beacons make their turnon sound when I enter an area. Ore extractors anywhere nearby will also have a slightly musical click to remind you to collect them, and a large clump of extractors could emit several clicks. The closest sound I know to wind chimes are wild Keepas, which could be spawning in any holes you've left in or under your house.

I have been keeping some things, like a set of idols on a shelf and a set of the batorang, flaming skull and (I forget the third), on my shelves like nicknacks. When I get close to them they give off a high pitch sound. Check your shelves if have them.

It turns out it's the reward chests you get from QB. The audio file needs to be removed from the game, taken from the compter it was made on, and launched into the sun.

I overlooked the possibility of chests as I have a few on display on book shelves and in planters, but the ones as is- make that horrid sound.

Sicne the mystery is solved, moving this on over to suggestions for you comment you'd like that sound file removed:SpongeSmile:; and I agree, being able to turn off those chests or chage the sound they make would be aweomse.

Oh! I'm actually hoarding those chests because I love the ambient sound they make. ^^ Would be very useful hiding them under floors in adventures. "Wind chimes" certainly didn't make me think of that sound. Sounds like someone playing crystal glasses or a "glass harp".

I would agree to keep the noise if and only if they really were to a wind chime. Hopefully they'll sound better and not be so headache inducing. I know I'm not the only one that really doesn't like the current set up.
