Creature Spawn Limitation (Range)?
Is there no limit to how close to a placed object a creature can spawn?

I'm getting creatures spawning in the middle of my "house" - as well as on the roof.
Also I fenced off a section around my "house" in hopes to keep creatures from spawning outside the doorm so I wouldn't get ambushed as soon as I opened it - since creatures seem to be able to detect you through blocks - and not only when they have direct line of sight - so when I would open the door the 5-10 creatures that were spawning right outside would be waiting out the door.
Yet the creatures spawn within the fenced area.

Also my "house" is built ground level (very top) and I get creatures from all levels; Hot Foot, Things, etc spawning inside my house/fence..

Last; it seems creature spawning ignores Lighting... I have to have at least 100+ torches scattered around my "house" and outside along the fence... but the creatures still spawn.

I have a small 10x10 "safe zone" in the corrupt layer, which is lite by 8 gas lamps, 4 inside 1 on each wall, and 4 outside 1 on each wall... yet several times when I went inside there was a corrupt creature in there... and the only way in is through the door, so unless the creature opened the door, it had to of spawned in there..

This is a well known bug where mobs spawn or clip up to where you are after you teleport from another location. Usually this happens with lower layers. The Devs are aware of this issue. Thank you for your report.

As far as mobs in your house it is possible that there is something that is making mobs be able to climb the fences. Without a picture of your build I cannot say what is going on there.

I don't have any teleporters in my house the lead to the lower levels... I have 3 teleporters one on each Level of the 3 story structure.. bottom floor goes to 2nd floor, 2nd floor goes to 3rd, and 3rd floor goes back to 1st... to get to the corrupt level I have a 4x4 mine shaft that has a ladder that leads all the way to the corrupt world. That shaft is not inside my house, nor in the "fenced" area.. its about 20+ blocks away from the front door in the side of a hill.. It's a pretty large "fence" so idk how they would clime in.

... also in the screenshot you can see that my tamed creatures are somehow getting on the roof. its like that every other day that I log in to play.

Well pets can do whatever they want still and there's nothing you can do about it until it's all fixed nicely. Your fence lights seem to be on poles which is fine but some creatures can use lights on fences as a gateway to get inside the fence. Also any 'organic' block that would naturally spawn a creature will spawn a creature... All that grass inside your fenced area will spawn day/night creatures. Only crafted blocks will not spawn creatures (except Rockzilla).

The light on the fences are on a two high pole, so with the bottom fence and the lamp/light itself that's 4 blocks high... from reading the wiki, they mob/creatures are not suppose to be able to jump more than 2 or 3 blocks.. also the wiki states that the mob/creatures will not jump down from a height of 3 blocks, which is false also, because I've had several night leafy and ferral pigsy jump down after me when they spawn on the roof which is like 7 blocks high.

So basically there is no "spawn radius" around placed blocks that prevent mob/creature spawning... like most other games out there... I gues I'm just use to ARK where creatures will not spawn with XX distance of a player created object excluding lighting which spawn radius for lighting is determined by light level.

Also it seems LIGHT does not prevent mob/create spawn either (as it states in the description of the tourches)... as there is not a single place within the walls/fences that is NOT lite by a torch/lamp.
