Left click not working

I just starting playing and I was having issues with the left click my mouse. It took multiple clicks to attempt to swing my sword or even "break" blocks. I tried multiple mice and i changed the key binding for "Dig" but it still does not work.

Try going in game and resetting the keybindings to default. Check to see what it says is the keybinding for dig, and then try to play. If the holding the mouse button still doesn't dig go check that keybinding again just to be certain that it didn't change.

When mining and attacking try holding the mouse button instead of clicking. What happens then? How is your mouse connected to the computer? Have you checked the system to make sure there are no errors on the port being used by the mouse?

I went back in and reset the keybindings, it said the keybinding was Mouse0. I did attempt to hold down the mouse button but it did not work. I have a wired mouse to my laptop (might be the main issue?) and I tried a wireless mouse as well to see if it was the wired mouse. I did also try the track pad. I could look around and use the right click but the left click wont work. Just for giggles I did change the keybinding for dig to mouse2 (right click) and the placement keybinding to mouse0 (left click) and I got the same result. After that I went into steam and verified the local files and that did not fix anything. Finally after I completely uninstalled then installed the game again it is working as intended. I am thinking that when I first downloaded the game something went wrong. Hopefully this will help someone with the same issue. Thank you for the response TheRemyD.

Good thing you were able to get it working, my guess is that a file got corrupted or did not download correctly the first time. A slow connection or an interruption to the service can cause this issue, as well as antivirus programs

Yup, that would be my guess as well. If it pops up again though it may actually be a setting with the trackpad in Windows. I remember hearing something along those lines in the past when Windows 10 first came out.
