1. Server - These are the physical computers controlled by 'Playful corp - The developers'
2. Worlds - These are instances of the master world created for players.
Worlds can be created (named and instanced) on the Server. You can password protect a world created by yourself to prevent others from entering the created world.
Worlds can be played on by one more more players (solo play equals one player on a world, usually pass-worded to prevent others from disturbing you)
All worlds are stored on the Server (worlds do not exist on your local hard drive currently), therefore you must be on-line to play.(Both Steam and Creativerse)
Some worlds are set as OPEN (Public) Worlds and as such any player can enter and do anything they like on it (currently)
I hope this answers your questions.
Just start a world, add in a password, tell your friends the password and your set!
It's even easier if they are on your steam friends list.
Don't know how to find it?
Simply go to the top of this page and click on the words...General Discussions in the line that reads "Creativerse > General Discussions > Topic Details".
Once their look on the right side of the screen for the section that says SUB FORUMS.
Click on the one that says Public Worlds.
then you type /promote
So, it stays open, but it switches off if nobody is in it. This doesn't stop anyone from entering it if they are allowed.
Also, a very recent update has caused worlds to run a backup every 2 hours if people are in them. Apparantly, this is because of some issues with resetting worlds after a crash or some error. I have not yet experienced this, so I don't know if you can tell when a backup kicks in.
