Just a thought for the creators out there, maybe include an a force field that protects the player but also does not allow movement or interaction while it is up. That would function as a pause.

That's what "nerdpoling" is for...aka noob-poling...6 crafted blocks high in a clear area...very little will be able to off you...unless you're too near a tree and a night leafi spawns on you.

lol... YES!

That's the "pause button" i always used... works well when out and about with no shelter around... I've spent many a night playing hedgehog in a hidey hole like that. ;)

Even though the thread is a bit old this sounds like a cool QoL for solo players ( not sure a pause button would work on a world with other players though since all of them experience the same in game clock ) :) Moving over to Suggestions for further discussion and so the Devs can get a glimpse
