Oil Pits
Does anyone got ideas or tips how i can find them, i have yet to get across one.

I just found one REALLY close to the spawn point dude O_O i might give ya my coordinates later >,< it was in the stalactic layer tho

Usually you find them in caves but upon rare occasions on the surface. It will look like black water and if you enter it, its murky. Caving will be your best bet.

Looks like i need to find the Starting Location, it got a oil pit ans healing beacon underneath. Any Ideas how i can find it again? :)

EDIT: Finally found Oil Pits, 3 in 1 Cave and cant really follow the Tips of the People here and in the Tips Sections. Cant freeze with Ice .. mhm
