Anyone know what the flashing blue ring means coming from the compass?

it means the Keepa is near by, that you get archstones from for crafting such items as the arch chest, arch lamp and arch table.

Yes, he's named "Keepa" for a reason. LOL

Also, you have to be quick about it, but if you can note the size of the arcstone image flashing up in the center of the Keepa ping, it'll be an indication of how close he is. The bigger, the closer. Also keep in mind that this ping is multi-directional. It can also be above and below you.

His color also hints at how rare the rewards are... There are 3 colors of keepas, but mostly I only ever run into the blue ones

huh no kidding i havent even noticed that...though from memory i typically see the blue ones as well though i must have found another colored one when he dropped an uncommon recipe for me.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to notice the difference between the Blue w/blue crystals and the white-ish blue w/blue crystals, but if you ever see the gold one with blue crystals, that's the rarest one.

thanks again for the info....i read somewhere though im not sure if this is true or not...do the keepas go "night mode" as well like the other mobs ?
