'Fire Resistance Potion' not working
My 'Fire Resistance Potion' doesn't seem to be working. I am taking fire damage from lava and fire level creatures. Was there a change to the recipe? I have tried searching the forums and have found nothing. I have been away from the game for a while.

Thanks!

Hi campbellosii,

Welcome back! It sounds like there could be a ton of new stuff for you to check out since you last played. Exciting!

Yup, there have been some changes to the temperature simulations, including how resistance potions affect you. You're right that before, they pretty much made you immune to anything heat- or cold-related. Now, with a heat resistance potion, you won't have to worry about the ambient heat causing you to overheat and take damage -- they cancel 100% of environmental effects -- but you can still get hurt if you take a dip in lava (it's reallly hot, after all). And I think the lava-layer creatures like Hotfoot always would damage you, potion or no.

I hope you'll enjoy checking out all the newest content, and I'll be happy to try to answer any other questions you've got!
