noone can change anyones opinion and noone is right or wrong keep it groovey my creatifriends.. :)
peoples opinions on entertainment can be passionate i still find every reason to explore due to how beautiful playful has made the world ...
i have yet to treverse a world i normaly find the biomes i favor and stick to that area and only travel to find the next deep cave system ....
it might be an idea to have a world creation option to turn off the abillity to farm coal and diamonds...
that might be a middle ground to solve this "issue" for players who find it "game breaking"
i dident even notice the flamability of tar though i always torch up caves i explore ...
i agree to disagree that its game breaking for me nothing can break a game but the game or my own mood example given is minecraft i dislike it always have however creativerse wich is the same genre i adore... matter of taste preference etc etc etc...
i would say it like this for the devs... factor in the communities preferance if the community and team like an idea to balance it then try to balance it if they dont like it nerf it and if they like it the way it is decide what the team thinks is best for the vision of the game your shooting for...
other then that the feedback has been really good and i want to thank everyone for keeping their heads and giveing proper discussion on this topic :)
cheers
Raven
I could see the developers creating machines that let you do similar. Such as a freezer that can convert tar or water into coal/ice then use the forge or a similar machine to convert further. It would lend itself to the more mechanically inclined players that like to make production lines...which could be handy when they implement their automation systems. I have seen players create killzones for mob spawning areas to collect loot and the like, goes with the farming systems.
Some people don't have a lot of time to spend looking for diamonds and coal and may not see them as much of a significance compared to the more valuable ores, so being able to make farms for these less valuable ores isn't really anything to feel uncomfortable about in my opinion
Diamonds are required for other blueprints too and however plain those items might be, they probably won't be worth the effort to find just to craft the item you're aiming for
- keep ammount and behavior of tar as it is
- after throwing freeze bomb, make 20% chance of succes to turn into coal
- after then another 20% chance of succes to make it diamonds
.. so that from 5x5 tar field there is 5 coal or 1 diamod
- the rest just dissapear (49%) or turn to ashpalt (49%) - so that there is something you probably wont use, but bothers you to collect before you can restore your farm
- well and some explosion here and there (2%)... would be fun :)
