Is it your world? Try adding a password or enabling the "default to visitor" setting to protect your builds. If you're playing in a multiplayer world, tell the world owner or admins what happened so they can look out for the perpetrator. No, unfortunately the devs aren't able to intervene in cases of griefing. As development moves forward, they're continuing to discuss additional tools to help players protect themselves and their worlds from griefers, but for now your best recourse will be to find a way to handle any players stealing your resources with the tools already available (kicking or banning, for example).

Do you have your chest locked to only you? That will keep everyone out except for the world owner and admins.
