I can't download the game

When I press the button to start the game in the store Steam freezes for some seconds. HALP!

Sounds like it could be a Steam issue, but I can try to help. Is there any error message? Have you installed the game yet?

Nope, Steam's window just freezes and when I use fullscreen it says "Finding updates" or something like that for a while without downloading it (P.S.: My OS is Mac OS 10.11.1) (P.P.S.: I can download other games, only Creativerse doesn't work)

Oh, I reinstalled Steam. Still doesn't works

(And the red, yellow/orange, green buttons appear to be grey and I can't click on them and on the window)

Hm. I'm trawling Google for possible fixes, but it doesn't to seem the be a particularly common issue. Have you tried loading the Steam store in your browser and hitting Play from there?

One thread I found suggested changing your Steam content server (instructions here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9498-WPDF-3220 )

Also, consider making an exception for Steam in any antivirus programs you're running -- not sure why only Creativerse would trigger the freeze, but maybe your system's having trouble connecting to download the game?

I'll keep looking around, but let me know if any of these help out.

I changed the content server but nothing happens. I don't have any antivirus and some games freeze Steam like Creativerse

NEWS! Steam doesn't freeze, it's just the installing window that doesn't appear!!!

Hello, i have nearly the same Issue, 9 Months later.
If i go to the shop, there is no Install or buy button but only the play button.
If i hit play in the shop / in the browser, only a window opens with "Searching for GameUpdates" and it opens the shopPage again.

I dont knew how but after reinstalling Steam 3 times, i could finally install the game, but still not start it.
Then i started the game in Steam-Offlinemode and it started but closed because no connection 2 Steam.
In Onlinemode it still just opens the Shoppage but not the game.

I deinstalled the Game again, but i can not install it again...

PS: Steam Support couldnt help, and all tries with reinstalling or start from an other location dont work either!

Delete the appmanifest_280790.acf file from this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps

Then restart Steam, and go to the Steam Library. The game should now show in your library.

Right click the game and go to properties -> local files -> Verify Integrity of Game Cache
This should install the game for you.

If the game doesn’t install or the Verify Integrity of Game Cache button is greyed out then try the following:

1. Copy and paste the following code into a browser: steam://install/280790/
   
2. If the previous suggestion didn’t work then try this:
   
   • Exit Steam
     
   • Go to the Steam folder and delete everything except steam.exe and the steamapps folder
     
   • Go into the steamapps folder and delete the appmanifest_280790.acf
     
   • start Steam

Thx, the last part worked!

- I tried out the part with the Appmanifest already, it doesn't help.
- verifiing the Game Integrity is greyed out so i cannot test it.
- the steam://install/280790/ also just freezed my Steam

but the last Part with deleting everything, worked, even if i had 2 reconfigure much, the game installed and is playable thx!
