There are currently no saplings available for any of the R14+ trees. Which means we only have saplings for elderwood, ashwood and cragwood trees. You can plant the saplings next to each other to grow a hybrid tree but we currently cannot grow anything else - which is a major disappointment for me.

For giant, cragwood is your best bet since it likes to be crowded. Basically do as big as you want the trunk, let grow, harvest leaves off top, place water/dirt on top, plant saplings, let grow and so on and so forth till you get the size you want.

Grassland would prolly be your best bet for this as it's not too hot or not too cold and has plenty of little ponds everywhere that you can clear and plant near or on top of.
