It's supposed to be, but in my first 5 minutes in R31 in the corruption I killed 4 of them. They were all spawned at the same time within the same radius and I could see all 4 of them on screen at the same time, it was weird.

I agree with Lil Puppy, there seem to have been some increase in Keepa spawn rate (probably due to community feedback). If more Keepa spawn... more golden ones will too.

As I always say, those rarer version are good only for two things : killing or collecting. You're better off taming only regular ones as all Keepa seems to drop the same loot on harvest (favorite food at least).
