You're assuming the CEO drove a BMW when he could be driving a Honda. So it's a poor argument
I don't think so! For me it sounds like Brainsloth meant with "don't worry", that they will build a feature where you can choose which world you want to keep. Otherwise it makes no sense because people could create a lot of worlds NOW and would keep it after pro. Then nobody would care about this One-World-"Rule"
When I'm wrong with this please correct me Brainsloth :D
Cars are a powerful symbol of status, but I cannot care less if the CEO drives a second-hand Honda or has a personal driver for his Rolls Royce.
Still, I haven't seen the company accounting books, so making the assumption that it was turning a profit for those two years is most likely wrong.
My first impression on the news was to go on the warpath, but I've put it off until we see how are things going to work.
Edit: Post I'm thinking of:

The big issue in this thread isn't whether or not the creation of a Pro version is to make a huge profit but whether the world limit will cripple the current users. From what I see, it sounds like existing worlds will not be removed, but free players will not be able to create new worlds beyond what they already have. If, say, 1/10 of the current players go Pro, that will give Playful a chance to upgrade the servers and better keep up with the creation of new worlds and/or influx of new players.
Judging by the number of people who play that other popular voxel game that are migrating to Creativerse, this move will prove to be beneficial to all of us whether we are Pro or free players. Pro upgrades and store purchases will help fund upgrading the servers as needed so they can keep pace. Imagine having servers that don't drop you or constantly lag... Isn't that worth limiting new world creation? And the way I see it, they're making the deal that much sweeter by giving us an optional workaround with optional extra bonuses for a small one-time (optional) fee.
It's the most fair and balanced solution, and Playful never acts without carefully considering how it might impact their players. On top of that, Creativerse is picking up momentum on YouTube and many more prominent CV YTers have different worlds for different series. Cutting existing worlds would hurt these channels and thus hurt Playful who depend upon these channels to advertise the game.
+1
I dont doubt that there will still be plenty of worlds for free players to use. My only concern is the handling of existing worlds owned by players without the funds/desire to go pro.
I myself will be going pro, but that doesnt PROtect the worlds I've worked on that are owned by other players.
