I can't find it

I've been searching for hours now, and I've still yet to find a swamp biome... any tips on finding one?

Many swamps are beside oceans, at the coast.

I think I found mine next to forests.

LOL - I tend to find them near Jungles. So we've not helped the OP much.

I ran for hours until I found a swamp biome, when I did finally get there of which now is my home. I decided to put my world teleporter there also. Ended up making a fence around it and a stepping stone across the ocean to the crab alter I made. Caught the boss crab as a pet and the gold world monster thing that show up at night. Fun indeed.

It's true that swamps is mostly beside oceans and next to forest/jungles :D

Take a look at the map templates (http://steamcommunity.com/app/280790/discussions/3/483367798505632834/) and compare them to your map to find out which template was used for your world. the dark green/brown (colors are a little difficult to me :D) areas on the template maps should be swamp biomes.

or use your glider if you have pro: climb a mountain and fly over the map. if you see huge wildwood trees under your feet you're there...
