Obsidian and Iron - not hard to find, but infinite.

I was just working on a lava spawning pad to get gun powder, and after I got the hotfeet being blown into the killing chamber by the fan network, I noticed chests spawning. These iron chests quite often contain iron ore and obsidian ore. This means that the "best" argument in support of procedurally generated worlds is actually false. It is impossible to ever run out of obsidian and iron in the world - even if you mine every single node of iron and obsidian, (practically impossible) you can still get as much as you want from iron chests. I just did a gunpowder farming run on my lava spawner. To go along with the four stacks of gunpowder from the hotfeet and keepas, I filled seven forges with obsidian ore, and four with iron ore that came out of the iron treasure chests.

TL/DR

You can get obsidian ore and iron ore from the iron treasure chests found in the lava layer or on lava spawners.

1.) press Escape Key.

2.) Turn Peaceful Creatures World Modifier on.

3.) go down to Corruption Layer and fly around.
[ while flying your corruption bar goes back down, as does standing on a stack of 3 crafted blocks... ]

4.) loot infinite Diamond Chests while chasing down Keepas.

5.) Smelt all your Obsidian / Iron / Luminite

6.) Disable Peaceful Creatures

7.) build Wonders...

Wut?! your not a Pro level account? Then you don't play Creativerse enough to need infinite Obsid-Iron, or you would have the flashlight and glider already.

Lol, that is a very good point. The only people who would be addicted enough to begin to even mine 1% of the world's iron or obsidian would already be a pro player and could get infinite diamond chests doing just that. I'm actually not addicted enough, so I'm sadly not a pro player, but that suggestion is genius for a pro player!

On my primary world I have a 12 claim area in corruption that is flat and looks like a giant football field

This took me about 150 hours of normal play, but if i had worked on it streaight it probably took me 20 solid hours

at this time I can start in a corner of this field, and go around in a wide circle, like a clock. As I go around, chests appear. Often I can see fix, six, even ten chests visible because its all flat

As I go around picking up the chests, the more I pick up, the faster the chests drop

I can now hunt chests and hunt keepas all day long without ever stopping.

Because of this I have over 54,000 iron ore which I havent even turned into ingots. I have almst 60,000 obsidian ore. I have thrown away tens fo thousands of torches, lights, etc.

That makes my lava spawner sound tiny! I'm coming to see it in your world, and you have more chests enabled. Isn't that kinda cheating? - either way, a spawner like that is totally awesome!

Edit, Spicy meatball, your area outside the public spawning room is AWESOME. as a non pro player, I can confidently say that low gravity is also fun, but everything you have built looks sooo great!

Edit#2 - I just came across TWO gold keepas while peacefully hopping through the corruption layer, and I couldn't kill them or tame them... :( - visitor privileges.

Really all I do is run around in the currupt, pick up chests (and kill keepas) and when I TP back I got 3 stacks of iron, one stack of OB with leftovers (also a stack of wood burning lamps, a stack of red wood wall), all because I ran around and collected chests, so ya'll can do this or make a "chest farm"

Yes, Keepas congregate on a large flat area that is cleared in corruption, as evidenced by the area I hollowed out.

This will work on any world.

And yes, I have herb production and chest spawning at a higher rate. This is not cheating if its been that way since I created the world.

World parameters are not cheating. They are options.
