Creative mode day/night cycle
Is there a way to stop the day night cycle while in creative mode in a single player game? If not how do you all deal with building when it is dark such as what lighting to use?

The best you can do is skipping the night by sleeping in a bed as of right now.

I used to make weird glass slab ceilings at the top of the sky to cast darkness over corruption spawners about 150 blocks beneath, and doing that during the day was quite painful (you pretty much only see clear sky at that altitude and glass slabs become almost invisible in that scenario) for that reason I used to skip the day and work only during the night (sleeping in beds will allow skipping day or night depending on your current in-game time).

Many players always keep a bed in their backpack. I keep mine and a few other non-hot-bar necessities in my arctek vault so it's always near at hand. The frozen & galactic varieties fit on a single block of space so they're great if you're stuck on a narrow walkway high in the sky or at the very top of a nerdpole. And they don't bounce, so landing incorrectly won't throw you off the top of that walkway & leave you wondering how to get back up from the middle of the ocean without permanently disfiguring the waterscape. And if you're in a pinch in a cave somewhere, you can even place them up against a wall above the ground. Ever slept suspended over a river of lava? I have. (I've also tanked a few Hotfoots while breathing lava at the bottom of a lava lake, on fire the whole time. Food buffs are fun. But that's another topic entirely.)

If you're alone on a world, dropping a bed & taking a nap can top your health off much faster than dropping a healing beacon, standing on top of it, waiting for the heal over time... waiting some more... And if you have any mob spawners nearby, the new day/night is likely to trigger a wave of spawns over the next few minutes.

RSoM LuckySheep, TY but I was asking for creative mode while building structures. I see I didn't make it clear.
