You get the material, learn the recipe and just make the stuff.
but i want to change the texture, not another block
Far as I know this is the first time in "General discussions" that the subject has even came up and even if it did come up it certainly does not deserve a negative review. That is just harsh.
This is not Minecraft. Mest of the blocks in my opinion already are works of art.
Why didn't you ask for another texture pack in Terrria too?
Are you just a troll who tries to talk down Creativerse because you are a big Minecraft fan?
However it's weird that you would do that by asking for Minecraft "features" that are in fact mods made by players, not even provided by the actual devs of Minecraft. And why ask for a feature that Creativerse doesn't even need?
I think it would be crazy to change the textures of Creativerse to some crappy pixelized player-made ones :( The textures for Creativerse have been made by professional artists, and I think it clearly shows. No Minecraft texture pack is as good as the textures are in Creativerse.
Creativerse is NOT Minecraft, it is a block-based game but has different features, like Quests, Blueprints, Adventures, events (the Halloween event has just started) and much more.
Just the base blocks would be great. You could quite possibly sell just single replacements even. Client side only ofcourse.
I did suggest this I think a week or so ago in suggestion forum.
Go forth and be prosperous.
PS. Not trying to start a fight lol.
Oh. Look at Path of Exile. All they sell is.... Storage and cosmetics.
Creativerse has already given half of that away with huge (and UNLIMITED) storage containers. Thanks Playful, that was VERY generous.
All you have left to sell is new blocks, Pro and ... Textures. One of which has not even been touched. I'm very surprised that the store doesn't already have client side texture - groups, singles and whole replacements for sale already.
I absolutely would not turn that over to modders either by the way. There is a fortune to be made there, don't give it away.
I wrote a negative review about it because i find most of the textures ugly, and i can't decorate with that. But i did mentioned other thing in the review ;)
Like, i got tons of diamond before even finding iron, and i used some advanced excavators and obsidian glove already. Diamond is infinite and creatable even before finding iron, that is kinda bs, and i did mentioned that a lot of mid-end game stuff are simply given in bunchs.
I serached the forums about texture packs, and some were about minecraft, but some were not, so u r not well informed.
about playing minecraft for free, don't sweat ur brain i own it. And i don't need to ask terraria for a texture pack because i find their blocks great already, while even vanillla minecraft is beautiful the only thing really appealing in creativerse is the grass and sand. And i'm not a big minecraft fan at all lul guurlll...
"to some crappy pixelized player-made ones" "No Minecraft texture pack is as good as the textures are in Creativerse" - wooow u rly dont know anything about minecraft texture packs do you? Most of them are not pixelated, in fact, many are 32bits and up to 512 bits or even higher for those who wants ultra fancy HD, and they are made by professional artists too, but more importantly even i can make a texture i like better.
The oldest post i found about this were from 2014, i guess, and since nothing changed guess the developers, as the admin statement might confirm, doesn't want to take look into it.
So it's their loss, not mine
And i already saw a very recent post tackling about the lack of content from an ooold player
And yet, nothing in what you said elevates the argument above a PERSONAL VALUE JUDGEMENT.
And thats how we all need to treat it. Lets just leave the minecraft guy alone. I'm sure he has other games to play.
but in the end it's the devs call, and we all know how to handle it, like u said, i have other games to play
Do you want Playful to make the texture packs? If so why would you think the quality would be any different?
The patterns are terrible so you want different patterns? So what is the difference of a texture pack and a whole set of blocks?
Did you want to make your own? Maybe a Steam Workshop option?
So your negative review was given just in case there are others out there with your same views right? That'll stop them from playing a free game for sure.
I hadn't looked at your review yet but I was wondering were you going to post that review regardless? I mean the gameplay part.
Oh, I have used a ton of texture packs in Minecraft already, but if you look at them more closely - buargh :( I do love many of the water textures though :)
In THIS case, please offer your services to Playful!
You can get paid AND provide us all with wonderful additional blocks that we can use! It'd be a win-win for everyone :) But I strongly suggest to add them instead of using new textures as "alternatives" to existing ones, so we can use them together with those that are already in the game :)
Builder type players are always asking for more blocks, furniture etc., you see. So why select only either one texture pack OR another, if we could get many more textures (blocks) to build with instead?
And adventure type players usually care more for action, for the gameplay progress and (still lacking) game goals, so they very likely wouldn't pay for texture packs anyways.
"Content" is something totally different from texture packs, dear, and such any suggestion for more game content would deserve its own thread :)
I didn't get that from his post, how did you? The topic is texture packs.
Edit: at least I think it is but he's all over the place hard to tell.
