Modes of transport

Does anyone know if there is any way to transport other than teleporters, somewhat like how minecraft has mine carts? If there is not any i would definitely like to see one created

pneumatic tubes :), theres also a ladder "rollercoaster" thats been used quite a lot, thats assuming that hasn't been "fixed" already

No, you can teleport, walk and fly, but there are no vehicles of any kind.

There are no vehicles, Julia is right. The only thing which moves in the game (aside from the critters) is you. If you have PRO, that includes your wings.

However, players have been creative with many things. Ever since the introduction of fans, elevators, transport tubes, and "roller coasters" have been very popular.

If you're looking for efficient transportation, nothing beats a teleporter. If you're looking for FUN transportation, nothing beats a roller coaster.

Bear in mind, our "roller coasters" are nothing more than fans which push you, and any surface which keeps you moving. It's not a vehicle, but a clever builder can make it quite fun.

The trick is that ice slopes have an accelerating surface (the slope) which still is in effect when the block is rotated sideways and you stand exactly on the edge of the slope (as shown is this video)

That ice rail system is really cool too! I have had the great privilege of riding it for fun! It is almost a rollercoaster in itself

@Eveaustria, those are just vertical or horizontal passages where fans push you through, eventually taking advantage of other tricks such as walking on the top end of ladders or sliding on cleverly rotated ice slopes.

Hoping they'll develop boats eventually. Would love to take a trip up the river next to my base without having to hop over blocks or hop as I walk through the water.

I support the topicstarter: boat and some kind of tram would be a nice and useful addition. I don't know why but I can't get rid of the idea to operate "Black Mesa"-like rail transport in the deep shafts of my world. The other thing which I would be glad to see is a mine elevator. Teleports, fans etc are cool things, but slowly descending in the elevator from the lights to the hostile darkness of lower bioms provides much more atmospheric immersion.

I would want to support rideable mounts that AFK travel us along a designated pathing

use slab elevator for instant traveling from donw to up only. Need one door, and many of slabs . Stay in door, close and you instant teleport to last slab. For better working use switch to close door, or press plate or sensor.
