That's been my experience. However i was referring to an earlier statement that grass would revert to dirt
But once the blueprint is complete, the cornerstone deactivates and exposed dirt will become grass as normal.
This is done so you don't have to go replacing exposed dirt blocks that are needed by the blueprint. The Colossal Castle, the Treehouse, and the Fort, among others, are blueoprints that make you place dirt blocks that get covered eventually.
And no, grass blocks do not revert to dirt. Ever.
Also, and unlike what you'd expect, Rocky Dirt doesn't turn into Savannah Grass. If you remove Savannah grass, and you don't like the exposed Rocky dirt blocks, you will have to remove and replace them one by one.
