"Artificial Biome" question
On this page of the wiki:

http://creativerse.wikia.com/wiki/Red_Pigment

it says the Red Flowers needed to craft the red pigment will grow slowly on Ashenwood Leaves, even in artificial biomes. What does that mean:

>Would I have to plant saplings for the Ashenwood Trees, or create a flat area/floor out of Ashenwood Leaves?

>How large of an area is necessary to cause things like that to spawn?

>Will it work indoors or underground, since I'm trying to get Red Flowers to grow not sure if they'd have to grow outdoors?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

I beleive the answer to your question is : yes, you can place a flat area out of ashenwood leaves.

Unless I'm mistaken, the criteria for spawn is usualy 100 blocks (so 10x10) minimums and bigger is better. BUT the spawn seems relatively small on low settings.

You are probably better off hunting for chests at night or exploiting the duplication of flowers. Flowers you pick (Blue, Red, Yellow, Weepwood, Wildwood) will drop either 1 or 2 in your inventory... even if it's one you placed. The duplication rate seems to be about 20%

As for sapling, yes they will spawn some flower from time to time... as well as have some present when they grow the first time (not always).

Basically an artificial biome is an area built from block that are not native to the biome you are in .
There are several reasons for this ranging from Chest farming to wax farming and everything in between :)

Just a quick precision, again unless I'm mistaken, the number of blocks requirement is the total blocks in a given chunk (wich is different and smaller then a claim). Those blocks do not need to be at the same height and you could imagine a 5x5x4 block that would work.

Since chunk are not shown on map (but some commands like // or /sim or maybe another third that I don't remember may show the chunk value), it may be easier to do more then less. As I said earlier, bigger is better :D
