Running Multiple Instances
Is it possible to have two instances of Creativerse running at the same time on one computer?

The reason I want to do this is that the 2nd instance would serve as a "camera account" that would make it possible to do 3rd person time lapse segments in videos.

From 2 completely seperate Steam accounts, possibly. If you try to open a second application through the same steam account the running game will pop up.

Unfortunately Steam doesn't allow multiple instances as far as I know. You'd have to run the second copy under a virtual machine or through some sort of sandbox software like Sandboxie if you want to run them both on one PC.

Thank you Ko0l. :)

After a closer look I decided to google "Can you run 2 steam accounts on one pc".
Here's the answer that came up ..
"Yes, you can access different Steam accounts from one computer. However, you may only access one account at a time. The accounts will share the core files for any games the accounts have in common, but each account will maintain its own custom content and configuration files."

So this essentially adds up to a no. Too bad, it would make possible things like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUko3aFRVMs

you can actually setup a portable version of steam which can run from usb stick or external hdd so it may actually be possible

Oh, it can be done. I just don't know how.

Check the teaser for the Colossal Castle:

The trick there would be having both steam accounts active in-game at the same time. From what folks have said here and my own google searches, that's not going to be easy at all, requiring one to use virtual machines... which I've never had much success with.

It'd be drop dead simple with two separate computers but I've only the one.

Most likely Playful used a separate computer to record that timelapse. The OP's question was regarding running 2 copies of the game on the same computer at once, which is possible but requires 3rd party software at this time.

Yeah, and by the look of it, with smooth camera motion & such, some form of dev-only flying was involved... sorta like MC's creative mode flight.

My wife is a smartass. Reading over my shoulder, she says I can just go build for you, then you can record at normal speed and it will look like a time lapse. I may build fast sometimes.. but not that fast. hehe

Yep, for that effect we just parked on top of a tree and hit record. The speedup and panning were done later in After Effects.
