Creativerse

Creativerse

Low fps on good computer?
I have an Alienware 17 R3, and I run most games on select high settings, with a steady 60fps. I wanted to play this game with a friend, but I rarely got above 30 fps. I wanted to fix it, but no one could help me. I decided to just forget it after a while. But, today I bought Minecraft. And guess what? It has the EXACT SAME ISSUE! These games are simular, so I'm guessing that If I can get one to run, the other will run as well. Any help? And aside from turning down settings, I've already done this. This issue is beyond just performance.

I've looked online too, and I can't find anyone who can help.

from the few block based games ive played it seems like they are a tad more demanding BECAUSE of the individual blocks. creativerse, minecraft, trove, block n load etc all run at a particularly lower fps than any other games i play.

I have both games too. Both work pretty good. Creativerse does better performance-wise for me but I can play them just fine. Can you access your graphic card to tune a few settings? That migh help. I suck at computer related stuff so I think this is all I can do. :/

Minecraft is java, Creativerse is done in Unity... to completely different animals. Not sure what to suggest about helping Creativerse FPS other than the usual shut down un-needed programs / make sure you're graphics drivers are up to date, Etc. For Minecraft I've found the best thing is to allocate more RAM to Java... I use these JVM arguents in the launcher -Xmx4G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M (note" modded Minecraft eats more RAM so I set 6G instead of 4G for that.)

1080
32 ram
i7-6800k

20-30-40 FPS drive update 60-80fps

Creativerse not optimised... very well

Not an expert but I had a few issues when I started playing Creativerse and this is what I did to fix it.

Make sure you are running the latest drivers for your graphics card.

Check and see if this is an issue of the game being allowed to select what graphics it will run on.
Open Nvidia Control Panel
Manage 3D Options
Program settings
Find the launch exe for Creativerse (usually in your Steam Library)
Change preferred graphics processor from the default 'integrated graphics' or 'auto select' to 'High Performance Nvidia'

Try shutting down any other programs that you have running at startup and can do without.

Settings for the game itself 'fastest' setting is normally the best for performance on my laptop I run with bloom on but you can take that out to see if it helps I also run in windowed mode.

Does your fan run a lot when you are playing either MC or Creativerse? Is the laptop getting hot at all?

It really depends where you are.

Staying at my new construction site, a flatned claim, with a single 4x6x5 building, a pathway along the claim along the claimborders, 1 unbuilt blueprint template, active claim border visiblity and a blueprint capture stone, i get 90-121 fps.
((removed 1 hill = - ~1500blocks, and placed like 600 blocks so far))

Arriving at Port Beachview, i'm having 55ish FPS inside.
But from my little hut just outside, watching over the valley, i'm getting values as low as 25-37 fps.
((multi-biome (9k blocks) + my first teleportcenter (about 1,2k blocks), + large gardening house (~700blocks), + diamond tent (50 nodes) + lots of light playing + 20+ pets ))

Then again, staying at my "Flying Pyramid Sanctuary" (workshop name) on the roof watching straight down the hall, i'm getting 60-70fps.
(( a 15007 block build, nothing else nearby))

All settings on ULTRA @ 1080
* monitor set to 144hz
* 970gtx, 4gb vram
* newest i7 of late 2016
* 16 gb ram

Also, i have the impression/feeling that these 'block games' are slightly more CPU demainding than GPU like other games, as i tend to have more FPS than a friend of mine who has a 1080 titan but an older i7.
