NO IRON

i found hundreds of coal and obsidian but just 18 iron ore, there is something wrong with the iron rate compared to all the other ores , the devs should patch that or i and many other ppl will leave this game again.

did you went down on the stalactite layer? you're only at your 32 hours, maybe explore more and you'll find some over there. the map is huge.

There is nothing wrong with the iron rate.
1. look deep in caves
2. Carve out a large area in the corruption layer and you will find it in chests at a regular basis
3. Tunnel horizonally in the lava and Stalactite levels.

I do all three now and then and have a large stock pile of iron along with a number of other goodies.

I just found and Iron treasure chest with 20 iron ores a while ago while at the lava layer.

spare your useless comment next time, what do you think what i have done the entire time? standing arround or what?? stop telling me what to do if you dont know if i have done or not!!!
it's not just me who cabt find iron nodes there are also 2 friends of mine on the same map.

@ReViZul : I understand you may be frustrated at the (seemingly) rare iron, but understand that people are only trying to help by providing their insight as best as they can. That being said, actions speaks louder then words and, even though I don't approve of your tone at the moment, I am willing to help in a more concrete way to find iron. Just let me know if I can be of service and I should be able to join you in an hour or so. (beleive me, we should be able to get you hundreds in a short amount of time)

As for your suggestion to increase iron rate, it is not that simple since worlds are not randomly generated. It is not possible to just "raise the iron spawn rate". However, the devs are aware of this particular topic as it is often discussed. One of the suggestion I read about was that it could be recolored so as to stand out better (as it is, the red brownish color can be hard to spot against the chocolate brown of stalactite... especialy with poor lighting conditions).

I already have gas lamps, and grand arch lanterns, so there is not a poor lighting.

Suit yourself, let me know if you change your mind and want a quick demo. I'm fairly confident we can find at least 20+ nodes in a 10-15 minutes time frame withouth real efforts.

Thanks for the heads up, after reading sample material I can say that my good willed offer is mostly off the table. I'm a strong beleiver in asking nicely, offering kindly and being respectful. I had some reservation but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. I saw just what I needed to make my mind unless something new make me change it again.
