Player-only Pressure Plates?
I have just started experimenting with machines. Is there a way to set up pressure plates so that they are ONLY activated when stepped on by my character and NOT by other creatures (even if it requires chaining in other devices as well)? If there is a way, I haven't been able to figure it out :(

I did see a post about putting a PP overhead and activating it by jumping -- a hilarious Mario-like innovation, but it requires a little bit of precision when I am already running for my life from a hostile :D

Just to be clear, I do NOT want something I have to manually activate by clicking on it or interacting with it other than simply stepping on it.

Thanks.

Currently, there aren't any player-only pressure plates. Any block, creature, or player can activate pressure plates. However, there have been sensors since R38, and I believe it fits the bill.

Sensors can be programmed to detect players or creatures only in a specified area.

For now there is no option. This is pressing plate then all pressing will activate them. You can put block on pressing plate and will be all time on. Or loot bag. Instead of pressing plate better use a sensor. There is option for human only activation.

if you REALLY want a pressure plate for its look, you can place a sensor just below the pressure place, with a [1 / 1 / 4 - Player only] configuration. You do nothing with the pressure (no link), and link the sensor as you would have done with your pressure plate.

But it's only if you REALLY want a pressure plate :p (sensors are way more efficient).

The sensor is EXACTLY what I am looking for, and has a much better range as well. Thanks :)
