Hey everyone!

In this patch we have worked on improving general performance, and also at the same time give players a more Arena vibe with updated audience platforms.
Gameplay flow has also been reworked, and a lot of preparations under the hood for further updates of the game, so stay tuned for more!

Gameplay

Removed the lobby platform and replaced it with an intermission camera

Audience Platforms

Gave the audience a new fresh look
Updated the levels to fit with the new audience platforms
Everest changed from daytime to nighttime
Rumble Rafts got some new more optimized water
Changed out the loading screens to show the updated levels
General levels optimizations

Why does this look like yet another crypto scam game? Looks like they came together and decided on scamming their player base. Looks as good as getting your eyes rinsed in acid, I think I'd rather have another run-in with the taliban than with this game. Hopefully the devs change it before release because this looks ASS....

0.19.0 - Curveball

Hey everyone!

Here comes the patch for the upcoming playtest weekend!

We've made some impactful changes that should add more freedom and depth to the gameplay. We’re excited to hear your feedback!

UPDATED ABILITY

Dash
- Now has 3 charges.
- If a player deflects while dashing, the ball will curve in the direction of the dash.

NEW MECHANIC

Ball curving
- Players can now curve the ball by deflecting while dashing:
  - Dash left → Ball curves left
  - Dash right → Ball curves right
  - Dash forward → Deflects harder forward
  - Dash backward → Temporarily slows down the ball

Dev note: The ball will still target the player you’re looking at, but if you dash left while deflecting, it will curve left toward your target.
Dev note 2: This is our first iteration of ball curving. We have more ideas for refining the mechanic, but we’d love your feedback before making further changes! [THANKS EMOTE]

VFX

New kill markers added:
- Gravestone
- Flower
- Trash Can

Dev note: These kill markers are tied to player level progression and can be unlocked by playing.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where players retained velocity from the lobby when spawning into the arena.
Fixed an issue with the sprint animation.
Fixed a bug where Mega Jump VFX could spawn multiple times.
Fixed some sound issues related to sudden death.

Hey everyone!

Here comes the patch for the upcoming playtest weekend!

Characters

New Character: Viskko

Levels

New Arena: Everest

Ball

Improved how the ball syncs between server and client. It should now feel more consistent when flying and orbiting players.

Deflect

Players within 5m of someone using Deflect will now be pushed away. This change helps prevent players from stacking on top of each other.

Yoyo

The ball will now curve back toward the player who used the ability instead of instantly changing direction.

Dev Note: We've noticed that Yoyo is a bit too strong in its current state. This tweak makes it require more skill to time correctly, as the ball now curves back rather than snapping instantly. We'll monitor this change and make further adjustments if needed.

Kill Effects

New Feature (Testing Phase): Kill effects now play at the location where a player is eliminated.
Gravestone Kill Effect has been implemented as the default for testing.

Dev Note: Kill effects will be customizable in the future, with new ones available to unlock or purchase. For now, we’ve added one for testing—more to come!

VFX

Reworked Mega Jump effect.
Updated Jump and Double Jump VFX.
Updated Dash VFX.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where killboxes (falling off the arena) were not launching players correctly.
Fixed an issue where players could be spam-hacked.
Fixed a visual bug that allowed throwable spam.
Fixed an issue with ball pathfinding where it didn't account for the ball's size.
