What happens if you refuse to give money to Anonymous X?
In the mission, where you have to take some information by a person with the cap of #chan; he gives you info, and then he asks you for money, you'll have two choices: give him the money (1000 credits) or refuse to pay.

What happens if you choose to refuse to pay the money?

Basically you teach him that he should have asked for the money BEFORE he gave away the information needed. In short: you won't lose that money, nothing more.

I felt kind of guilty picking that choice haha.

There's also the fact that Malik never mentioned you'd be paying for her, which means he's probably pulling a fast one.

You can always give him the money and then do a takedown on him, while no-one's looking, to loot the money back !! Same with the bar tender (though that's way more tricky avoiding detection) and the guy on the brothel roof-top.

I kinda remember he call for police after not giving him money
maybe one of the dialogue would do that?

I played it once that way and, basically he's screwed. Not much he can do against an Augmented fighting machine like Jenson. And, he can't really call the cops because the info he just gave you was illegally attained. But, like some of the others, I felt guilty, so I usually pay him.

I tried the take down on the guy in the bar, and somehow, just barely got away with it. But it is tricky. I hadn't thought of it with the guy on the roof. I think I did try it on Anonymous X, but some civilion saw me and started screeming for the cops.

I don't feel guilty witholding the money because it's basically extortion; he's trying to pull a fast one and make a buck, but failing miserably because he gives the autopsy report to you before he demands cash.

I'll take your point.

I would also venture to say that I (Jenson) never agreed to paying for the information, nor was he told about any expected payments.

Most of the time, when I pay him, it's because I feel sorry for the idiot and I usually have plenty of cash.

I have yet, to use all the creadits I collect throughout the game. Actually, the extra credits I got with the pre-order bonus (latter dlc) is almost overkill with the credits, except, it comes in handy at the beginning of the game, alowing you to purchase the two Praxis kits and a few essentials from the gun dealer.
