Game crash on clicking play

As the title says, the game wont even load in and will just show a crash report. tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as verifying game cache. Anyone know of any fixes?

Which operating system are you using?
Are you sure you are able to run Hover?
Have you allowed it run as an Admin?

Yeah so I'm using windows 10, and I was able to play the game in full last summer I believe? Same computer and everything and I have tried running it as admin to no avail. Playing the game in directx 9 mode does launch it but all the ui is pink squares and unnavigable due to there being no text.

What is the pop-up saying when you crash?
Is it just creating a log file?
