People don't even own the game or take time to upgrade Aragami's Skill tree (that includes Long Range Kunai, Decoy, Explosive Decoy, Shadow Traps, Dead Body Management and more)
It has every single right to be compared to Tenchu just for the variety of stealth kill animations alone. Level creator wasn't even present in Wrath of Heaven and it was still one of the best in the series so i don't see the point ¬¬
Too bad i would never buy a Wii for anything so i can't comment on that game
Aragami gives you medals for killing every enemy on the map though
Could always get it for psp
If only they port it to Steam i would definitely get it. I don't have a psp, maybe i'll emulate it.
Tenchu gives you new techniques for getting stealth kills. It also is much less ghost-friendly than Aragami.
But getting new techniques from Stealth Kills wasn't even a thing before Wrath of Heaven. Which is the 3rd one in the series, so i don't see the point.
Sure i agree that Aragami is way more "ghost stealth" friendly but that is obviously expected when you have a shadow leap mechanic. You could use the invisibility spell in all tenchu games and ghost through the map as well in case you don't remember. Not killing any enemy would even automatically give you Grand Master rank if i remember correctly:

...as if being the Pupil of Rikimaru wasn't enough Fan Service to keep people pleased, people still whine about it for some reason.
the Tenchu Series was pretty much a "Copy & Paste"... there wasn't anything special about it, it was just a "Stealth Game with Ninjas!".
All they really needed to do to keep it fresh was a Level Editor. Tenchu 2: Stealth Assassins for PS1 had a simple editor... it was good for the time... but after that one, they just tried alot of Wild Experiments... Wrath of Heaven worked fine, but the rest was lost and forgotten in the Prisons of "Exclusivity".
i just hope FromSoftware Ports them up for PC since Activision lost the rights a few years ago, and they seem to be wrapping up the Dark Souls Trilogy... or maybe they might come up with a new one.
PS: Also... being a "Dark Spirit" Ninja thingy that can't Jump is kinda confusing...
Indeed... the Success of Dark Souls might kill their interest in Stealth... we might get a Second Bloodborne before FromSoftware does anything else different.
