How do you invite people from Cross-Platforms?

so i have a buddy who bought this on the Ps4 and now i am just wondering how would i go about it in inviting a friend to my game? i use steam and he's on the ps4 so yea if anyone has tried it that would be great if you guys could tell me

We'll be launching the 01.04 patch on ps4 next week. You'll be able to create a public game and just ask him to look for an open game to join.

oh so he has to find the lobby i am hosting then? i dont have many friends so haven't had the chance to try out multiplayer yet
