Are they at least usable in workshop levels?
P.S. It obviously wouldn't make sense for those characters to be available in the base game by default. So I'd suggest the characters to be made available after completion of the game along with the DLC. Or maybe as a reward for beating the DLC on the highest difficulty or something like that. It would certainly add replayability to the game and more incentives to play it on the hardest difficulty or collect all the collectibles.
..Another P.S. If the added powers the DLC characters have wouldn't make sense in the base game. The characters could just serve as an unlockable skin for the main character.
