Pirate Parrot Bug

I feed the parrot peanuts and he flies up in the air. At that point when I hover my mouse pointer over the blanket thats beneath him it turns into the hand symbol meaning I can pick it up. When I cick on it, the hand symbol disappears but critter does not pick up the blanket.

Yeah, I hated that situation because there isn't any clue, hint or dialog explaning that this will not work. After giving the Parrot a Peanut he will follow you. So when you leave the screen he comes right behind you. If you have "a second character" he could then do some other stuff with the parrot not arround ;-)
In any case this riddle is bad designed because there isn't any feedback that the bird would follow you. I solved it because i accidentaly clickt somewhere else.

Ummm, right now I fed him and got following, after that I try to go in palace: but jetty screen appears instead and I can't do anything, while parrot completely stuck under the isle (bug report I suppose)
